Friday, August 8, 2025, Celebrated our 27th Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony at the Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Smarak Auditorium, Shivaji Park. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of students, parents, alumni, and dignitaries, making it a memorable evening of recognition and celebration.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp and the Nalanda song, setting a tone of tradition and pride. Ms. Aarti Gandhi, Principal of Nalanda, welcomed the guests and felicitated the distinguished dignitaries:
- Chief Guest: Ms. Aisha Bharmal, Head of The Aditya Birla Integrated School
- Guest of Honour: Ms. Rekha Shahani, veteran educationist and advisor to the Maharashtra State Police on compassionate education
- Special Guest: Ms. Radhika Sinha, Academic Head, Aditya Birla Education Trust
The Principal presented the Annual Report 2024–25, highlighting academic and extracurricular achievements. The Annual School Magazine, “Reflections 2024–25”, was unveiled by Ms. Radhika Sinha.
Top-performing students from Pre-Vocational classes, Std. V–IX, SSC & HSC Boards, and Std. X & XII (NIOS) were felicitated with trophies and certificates, presented by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour.
The cultural programme took the audience on a vibrant world tour, featuring a skit with beloved characters Jethalal and Daya Ben and captivating dance performances representing Korea, America, Spain, London, Africa, and India. The dances, choreographed by Bhavik Dharia and his team (Top Notch Academy), left the audience spellbound.
The musical concert, scripted by Ms. Muskan Bohra and Mr. Amit Parekh, was conceptualized and directed by Ms. Aisha Tharadra and Ms. Tarala Asher.
Special recognitions were awarded for outstanding performances:
- Best Dancer (Junior Girls): Parini Jain – African Dance
- Best Dancer (Senior Girls): Pal Sanghvi – Korean Dance
- Best Dancer (Junior Boys): Varun Prajapati – African Dance
- Best Dancer (Senior Boys): Mohammed Knot – Korean Dance
- Best Actor Awards: Kiara Agrawal (Jethalal) & Amulya Suryavanshi (Daya Ben)
- Best Dance (Junior Category): African Dance
- Best Dance (Senior Category): Spain Dance
A surprise highlight was the energetic performance by Nalanda’s teachers and staff, which received thunderous applause.
The event was anchored by Ms. Vishalakshi Salian and Burhanuddin Siraj (XII, NIOS). The evening concluded with the Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and proud.
Speaking at the event, Principal Ms. Aarti Gandhi said, “The 27th Annual Day is a celebration of our students’ holistic growth and a reflection of Nalanda’s commitment to nurturing talent, discipline, and creativity.”
