Students have made a beautiful tree using waste paper to keep in mind the safety of our environment.

Team Nalanda attended a seminar at TABIS on Saturday, 16th March, Mindful Mosaic which was about language and cognition.

Ms. Aarti Gandhi attended the Times of India NIE principal's Seminar on 14th March 2023.

We celebrated the X and XII farewell on Friday. It was a neon themed party with a lot of neon decorations, led lights, games and balloons. We watched a video down the memory lane and it was quite an emotional moment. Mr and Ms Nalanda cut a neon themed cake along with the principal and we all danced our hearts out.

30 students from SIES visited Nalanda to understand more about the kids with learning difficulties, ADHD and slow learners.

We celebrated Republic Day watching an animated video explaining the formation of the constitution, followed by a dance performed by the students and we ended with singing the National Anthem

A December to Remember!! Teachers prepared a skit on the birth of Christ for the students and we played games like Snow ball in the bucket and Chase the Rudolf. We ended the day with snacks, cake and Christmas Carols.

The Annual Sports meet was held on 14^th December, 2023. It was a perfect day, where the kids played various group games like Throw ball, football, cricket and some solo games like throw the ball, kick the ball, and races. The day ended with parents watching the March Past and seeing their kids receive medals, certificates and trophies! Mohammed Athania won the overall Sports Boy of the Year. Musbah Latif and Virika won Championship trophies (seniors) while Mohammed Athania and Khadeeja Qureshi won Championship trophies (Juniors)

Annual Day was held on 5^th September at SVSS Auditorium. The theme of the year was Bollywood through the years.

Ms. Fatima Martins and Ms. Muskan Bohra ran the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024 for Ujaas.

We celebrated Janmashtami by arranging a dahi handi painting competition.

Arnav Mehta and Mohammed Khot attended a seminar about Awareness of Climate change and corrective actions on 21^st August 2023.

Students arranged fun games and a PPT for teachers followed by lunch for teachers and support staff.

Seminar for parents on Understanding Learning Disability by Dr. Anajana Thadani, Ms. Sheetal Dhillon, and Ms Geeta Dalal. It was a hall full of parents who were keen to learn about their children and how to deal with the situation. The seminar was held on 28^th June, 2023.

Ms. Sophia Peermohideen is a renowned clinical psychologist and behavioral therapist with over 25 years of experience as a counselor, trainer, and speaker. She is trained in Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) from Becks Institute, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) from Marsha Linehan, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. She also holds an associate fellowship in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) from the Albert Ellis Institute. Her main areas of work include Anger Management, Anxiety, Depression, Substance Abuse, Personality Disorders, Trauma, Hyperactivity, Peer Pressure, Psychosis, Marital Counselling, and Panic Disorders. She also specializes in Psychometric assessments and Psychotherapy. Ms. Sophia has worked extensively with children and adolescents in identifying Learning Disabilities, IQ Testing, Aptitude Testing, and Autism assessment. Ms. Sophia is also associated with the NGO, Arpan which deals with severe child sexual abuse. Her team at Mind Wellness Center consists of 4 psychologists, a psychiatrist, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a speech therapist, and a special educator.
