The investiture ceremony is a solemn occasion where all the young students are prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. The investiture ceremony of the Student Council of Nalanda by Aditya Birla Education Trust for the academic year 2025 – 26 was held on Tuesday, 24th June 2025.
Leaders are not born …. they are made. While collecting treasures of childhood memories, the students are also growing up as compassionate, caring and committed individuals. At Nalanda-ABET the students are happy to learn to be responsible and disciplined. Student Council is a platform where representatives of student-body share responsibilities in conducting various activities within the school. While discharging their duties in a particular role, the active members of the Student Council learn to develop pride in their competence, experiencing challenges and resolving these challenges in their own unique manner.
The Student Council members were selected by the Principal, Ms Aarti Gandhi along with the staff members of Nalanda by Aditya Birla Education Trust, based on the following criteria namely, academics, behaviour, performance of duties and participation in co-curricular activities.
The investiture ceremony started with an introduction by Ms Vishalakshi Salian and she declared the names of Student Council members. As the names were announced, the smartly dressed students came forward to collect their sash and badge from the Principal. The flag handover ceremony was conducted by our respective House Teachers and Sports Sir. This was followed by the oath taking ceremony administered by Ms Arva Vahanvaty. The students pledged to uphold and follow the rules and regulations set by Nalanda-ABET and promised to adhere to the values of honesty, perseverance, teamwork and service before self. Above all, they pledged to strive in the spirit of excellence in academics, sports and co-curricular activities, so that they keep the school flag flying high always.
