Every Wednesday, the last two periods are dedicated to our Life Skills Club, where students follow a structured curriculum covering

Money Handling

Practical financial literacy for everyday independence.

Time Management

Balancing studies,activities and personalgrowth.

Self-Advocacy

Empowering students to communicate their needs effectively.

Daily-Living Skills

Fostering self-reliance in day-to-day activities.

Arts, Music and Creative Expression

Regular art and craft classes give students a space to create, express, and take pride in their work. Nalanda students participate in interschool competitions and come home with prizes.

Social and Emotional Learning

Through our Minds Matter programme, led by the school counsellor, students build confidence, manage anxiety, and develop the emotional tools to navigate relationships and daily life. Individual sessions with the school counsellor and clinical psychologist provide additional support where needed.

“The teachers never insulted me even once for asking the same question twice: in fact, it was encouraged. I started ranking in the top three of my class. Joining Nalanda gave me the space to take up my hobby much more seriously, which has now grown into my career.”

Vocational and Pre-Career Exposure

Our culinary training programme introduces students to the skills of cooking and baking, building focus, precision, and a sense of accomplishment. For many students, this is where a hobby becomes a direction.

Clubs and Activities

Interact Club — Students engage with their communities through initiatives such as beach clean-ups, donation drives, and plastic collection campaigns. Learning to contribute builds a sense of purpose that no classroom alone can teach.
